Description:
Beaurenard Rasteau is a brawny and hedonistic red wine made from a blend of Grenache (80%), Syrah (17%) and Mourvèdre (3%). It has a glossy and deep ruby color, with aromas of ripe red and black fruits, spices and herbs. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, with soft and integrated tannins, and a long and satisfying finish. This wine is a great expression of the terroir of Rasteau, a village in the southern Rhône Valley that enjoys a warm and sunny climate, and has clay and limestone soils rich in iron oxide. Beaurenard Rasteau is made from organically and biodynamically grown grapes, harvested by hand and fermented with natural yeasts. The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels and concrete tanks, and bottled without filtration. It can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 10 years. Beaurenard Rasteau pairs well with grilled meats, game, cheese and spicy dishes.
